While on vacation back in Iowa, I got to take some photos of my sister and nieces. We hit a park that most people don't know is there and also stopped at a cornfield to get a few true midwest shots. It was good to be back home and I'm glad I got to capture these moments for them.
I (semi) recently switched schedules at work. For roughly the last year I've had Fridays off at my job with the school district and that just changed to Mondays. My wife's cousin also happens to have Mondays off so we met up this past week and took some photos of this little peanut. She's such a little cutie!
It's been a while since I've posted any photos. These are from a quick trip out with the kids. It's been raining a lot lately and when we went out to take photos there was a light drizzle and the wind was pretty bad at the first spot. We jumped back in the car and drove to this little covered walkway to take photo instead.
Here is a video I put together of little baby Kaitlyn and her parents. They came over recently and I took some photos of the three in our front room. The light coming in our front window was excellent and it worked out great! I thought it created a great setting for the photos. Don't forget to check out more photos of this precious little girl up top in the "Butler Family" portrait gallery!
Meet siblings Dominic and Kaia...So the weather has been incredible lately, really awesome! I got out over the weekend and shot some photos of these two. It was good to get out and take some portraits. It's definitely been a while. I can't wait to get out more with Spring right around the corner and all. Check out some more of their photos up top in the "portraits" menu!
Meet Bricen! I recently had the chance to shoot some senior photos for this young man. Since I'm not terribly familiar with the area yet, him and his mom scouted out a few locations for us. The spots couldn't have been better! All of locations were great (I'm not sure I can pick a favorite) and the rain held off until we were just about wrapped up. Don't forget to check out some more of his photos up above in the "portraits" menu!
We took a few quick photos while waiting for my wife before heading out to the kids' new school. I really like the different textures on the outside of this building! It is the same place I took the photos of our son and his new hat just the week before.
Took some photos of my nephew Dominic the other day. Check out more under the "portraits" tab up top!
Today we met my wife for lunch (and to drop off some sprinkles for our youngest's birthday cake). I brought my camera with just in case I saw any cool spots for photos since I don't really know my way around town just yet. We moved to Alaska last month and I don't really know any good places to shoot yet. Anyway, after dropping my wife off after lunch we just stuck around and took some photos in front of the building. I only used one texture for the background but it should be a pretty cool place for photos. I'm kinda excited about it! I hope you enjoy these shots of our little man...
Meet little Sawyer. He was just 10 days old when I took these photos! Unfortunately, as he gets older, he won't get to meet the owner of this sweet ride. His father tragically passed away while his mother was still carrying the little guy. As a tribute to his father, his mother and the crew at Convict Customz customized the bike just like Sawyer's dad would have wanted it. "Bad things do happen; how I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life. I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness, immobilized by the gravity of my loss, or I can choose to rise from the pain and treasure the most precious gift I have - life itself." -Walter Anderson
The wife and I took our little ones to the park the other day for some Spring/Easter photos. Even though they WERE NOT very excited about doing it, I think we got some good ones!
The weather is finally starting to get nice out...that means getting outside and exploring!
The temp out today is a little warmer than it has been lately making it a pretty decent day. After dropping our older two off at school this morning, the little one and I hit the park for a few photos. She wasn't really cooperating but I managed to get a few that I liked. Here are some of the shots from this morning...
Sometimes you have to set up a tripod and use a remote to take a photo of you and a little one when no one else is around. Thankfully Miss Nora was looking at the camera for most of the photos I took. This is my favorite from the few shots I got...
The weather was pretty nice over the weekend so we decided to run to the park and try to get a few more pictures of our kiddos outdoors...These are a few of the shots I took while we were there. This park is kind of hidden and usually there isn't anyone else around. We actually didn't know it was there until my parents moved near it a few years back. It's a pretty neat place!
I'm working on adding some new galleries at the moment. While going through my older photos I came across this one. This is Cydnie and the photo is definitely one of my favorites (that I've captured). I really love the setting and the red of her dress matching the red trim on the building behind her. Check out some more of her photos in her gallery under "portraits" up top.
Meet Brock! Once upon a time I was a martial arts instructor. Brock and his family were members at the gym where I taught. He and his brothers took my classes for a few years. I've known Brock since he was just a little kid and recently I had the privilege of shooting senior pictures for him.
We spent some time shooting at his house. Since his father is an arborist they had a lot of cool logs and equipment on their property that we could use. From there we went downtown, which is one of my favorite places to shoot! Check out some more of his photos in his gallery under "portraits" up top.
